12.30pm: Brazel Burning Up The Course

Sam Brazel is firing on all cylinders, and has vaulted to a three shot lead midway through the front nine here at Tweed Heads.

The Lismore product birdied the 3rd, 5th and 6th to climb to 11 under par.

Overnight leader Will Florimo didn’t get off to the start he wanted, bogeying the first hole, however a string of four par looked like they had calmed his nerves. Sadly however, after spearing his drive on the par-five 6th almost onto the third green, the 22 year old amateur rinsed his recovery and led to another dropped shot.

The other pair in the final group, Michael Sim and William Bruyeres are still in the mix at six under. Bruyeres started his day with a birdie and five straight pars, while Sim added to his overnight score with a handy birdie on the par-three 3rd.

Doug Klein, playing in the group ahead of the leaders is going along nicely and now at seven under total and three under for the day.

10.20am: Play Underway

With a shotgun start, the field are away in the final round of the Tweed Open here at Coffs Harbour Golf Club.

Tearaway leader Will Florimo. whose ten under effort amazed plenty of seasoned pundits could be excused for having a few nerves this morning, especially playing alongside the likes of Web.com Tour winner Michael Sim and European Tour owner Sam Brazel.

The final player in the group, Will Bruyeres will be still smarting over Wednesday’s finish in Coffs Harbour, and out after some redemption.

with 13 players still within six of the lead and 45 players on par or better overnight, there are still lots of players in the mix to take the title.
