St Michael’s John Lyras, Newcastle’s Aaron Townsend and Wodonga’s Daniel Gill have booked their places in the 2022 Golf Challenge NSW Open after a thrilling final day of action here at Murray Downs.
Townsend, the 2008 NSW Open Champion at The Vintage, carded rounds of 69 and 70 to secure his place in the field for Concord, while Lyras will be making a return missing the cut in march.
Daniel Gill was overjoyed with his result. The NSW Open will be a maiden start in an Australasian Tour event for the Wodonga product after several attempts to qualify.
