3.20pm: Murray Open LIVE – Elvis the man most likely

It might be a stretch, but the impressive Elvis Smylie is the man most likely to challenge the Machine like Matt Millar.

With holes running out, however, the Young Queenslander will need a few cards to fall his way and then hope the Canberran stables over the back nine.

Smylie is currently at six under, but with only a couple of holes to play, while Millar has made the return at ten under and comfortably in from.

Several other names made moves as the front nine unfolded, however the tricky winds around the back part of the course have proved testing.

Mathias Sanchez was briefly at minus 6 alongside Style, so to the Victorian Amateur Daniel Gill.

St Michael’s John Lyras was there for a moment but an untidy bogey on the par four 14th seemed to have ended his chances.

10.00am: Its Murray Open Championship Day!

Welcome to round Two LIVE from the Murray Open

All eyes will be on Matt Millar after his first-day heroics here at Murray Downs.

Millar (-8) will tee off alongside Victorian duo Ryan Lynch (-6) and James Marchesani (-5) in the final group when it at 12.25pm today.

There are several players in the chasing pack who will need something special, especially with the solid south-westerly adding some bite to the Ted Paslow designed layout.

Queenslander Charlie Dann and New South Welshman Daniel Gale (both-5) will play together for the second consecutive day in the penultimate group with Victorian Matt Griffin (-4).

Some of the Players to watch today include emerging amateur Jeffrey Guan, Gold Coast prodigy Elvis Smylie, reigning Golf Challenge NSW Open champion Bryden Macpherson and impressive duo Justin Warrren and Shae Wools-Cobb.

Don’t forget to tune in to the tournament website or on the Golf NSW Facebook page from around midday the final round livestream.
