The battle for medallist as low amateur in this year’s Golf Challenge NSW Open is shaping up as a shootout.
Seven players are within four shots of leading amateur Lawry Flynn (-8) who has played all three rounds under par so far here at Concord to be in 19th place overall and a chance of climbing into the top 10 with a great round tomorrow.
One shot behind Flynn is Harry Bolton, followed by Harrison Crowe, and Jye Pickin who had the lowest score of all the amateurs in today’s third round. Pickin had six birdies and an eagle in his four-under 67.
Amateurs have won the NSW Open previously. The last to do so was Ben Eccles in 2015.
