To kick off a fantastic week of golf at this year’s NSW Open, Golf Challenge will host the first public Golf Challenge Teams Tournament, with 18 lucky teams set to participate in the inaugural event.
And the top three placed teams will receive an invite to play the NSW Open Golf Challenge App Pro-Am on Wednesday alongside a star of the ISPS Handa PGA Tour of Australasia – courtesy of Golf Challenge.
Golf Challenge is an exciting new way to play golf, consisting of challenges rather than 18 holes – the ideal way to enjoy a competitive game of golf in just an hour.
The format is a shotgun start, three-hole tournament on the Concord course. Each team will play the Golf Challenge as individuals, with each competitor’s score combining for a team score.
Competitors will play four fun challenges during the three holes, including a putting, bunker, and Nearest-The-Pin skills test.
Golf NSW will use the App to keep track of all the scores, and there will be a live leader board so you can see how you’re faring against the competition.
The tournament will begin at 8 am and take around an hour, and when completed, a presentation will take place back inside the clubhouse.
After the presentation, a group of professionals will take on the Golf Challenge, and participants from the morning field are encouraged to stay on and watch.
TV cameras will be capturing the action throughout the day, and action from the tournament will feature in the weekend Fox Sports and Kayo coverage of the NSW Open.
Feel free to visit GolfChallenge. App for more information on the concept, rules, and how to play.
