Brett Rumford, Min Woo Lee and David Micheluzzi are one of several headline groupings in the opening round of the AVJennings NSW Open.
Rumford, who accepted a late invitation into the Championship, will hit off alongside the two young guns from the 10th tee at 7.15 am.
Following them will be the trio of boom amateur Elvis Smylie and former Australia Masters Champion Nick Cullen at 7.25.
Newcastle’s Blake Windred, who is making a debut of sorts after signing off on a stellar amateur career, will go from the 10th at 8.05 alongside the legendary Peter Lonard and Queensland’s Cory Crawford.
Windred, who Only turned professional in October, has already recorded a couple of top-ten finishes on the ISPS Handa PGA Tour of Australasia and has never finished outside of the top five at Twin Creeks.
St. Michael’s Harrison Crowe will face a stern examination teeing it up alongside the impressive Daniel Nisbet and Albury/Wodonga’s Zach Murray,
It will be Murray’s first start on home soil since his win in the New Zealand Open. The trio goes from the 10th at 7.35 am.
Lismore’s Rhein Gibson, who will start as one of the favourites this week, will get his quest for a maiden title on home soil Underway at 12.25 pm from the 10th.
Gibson returns to Australia after a successful year in the United States which included a win at the Korn Ferry Tour’s BMW Charity Pro-Am in June. The victory all but ensured his return to the PGA Tour in 2020, and will tee it up alongside Nick Flanagan and Victorian Josh Younger.
At the other end of the spectrum, all eyes will be on impressive youngster Jake Riley, who clawed his way into his first-ever professional tournament with a final hole chip-in during pre-qualifying.
Coached by former PGA Tour Winner Nathan Green, the 14-year-old will be out to show he is a star on the rise, and has now set his sights on making the cut on Friday afternoon. Riley will tee off alongside James Anstiss and the big-hitting Lincoln Tighe from Port Kembla.
The AVJennings NSW Open will be played over 72 holes at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club, Luddenham, running from Thursday November 28th to December 1st.
